Benoît Saint-Denis is more determined than ever. After defeating Marc Diakiese in grappling on May 18, the Frenchman now wants to return to the UFC cage… as soon as possible!
As we know, Benoît Saint-Denis loves a good fight. The Frenchman, who has fought seven times in two and a half years, hasn’t set foot in a UFC octagon since his loss to Dustin Poirier last March… and he misses it! In an interview with MMA Fighting, BSD stated that he is targeting two events for his return: “I don’t know if my next fight will be in Manchester on July 27 for UFC 304 or in Paris on September 28, but if I can be on both cards, I will do it.”
If ‘God of War’ is so eager to return to the cage, it’s because he has a goal in mind: the belt. “I want to stay active and fight as soon as possible. I am more determined than ever to become champion. I need to work a lot and I am ready to do it,” he said before explaining, “I am just waiting for the next opportunity.” To become champion, the Frenchman is aware that he needs to beat the best: “I just want to become the best. And for that, I need a tough opponent in my next fight.”
As you can see, BSD is only waiting for one thing: to prove himself. But who will be his future opponent? The Tricolore has already stated that he wants to fight Beneil Dariush, Dan Hooker, or even Arman Tsarukyan, the number one in the category!
